Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics
Many students make sentence structure errors in their writing quite often without realising it. In this course, we will cover two common errors (run-ons and comma splices). We will look at real examples from real students and I will also show you how to identify the errors and what we can do to correct them.
In this lesson, we will recap the basics of a complete sentence. I will elaborate on what is a run-on error and break it down to identify run-on errors. After which, I will teach on how to correct run-on errors.
In this last video, I will move on to explain comma splice error and how to correct these errors. Lastly, let’s do a practice together by spotting the errors.
